Nonie French

From the time Nonie can remember, she was aware that creativity had an incredible nourishing power. It is for that reason she is passionate about helping new artists release their fears, and be open enough and brave enough to be a messenger of their experiences. Nonie is a graduate of the Ontario College of Art and Design and subsequently was apart of the Toronto advertising industry. For the past 13 years, Nonie has had the pleasure of teaching Art through life drawing sessions to all levels of abilities.

Jenn Wilkins

Imagination and a vivid palette in Jenn’s words is “the best way I can express my emotional response to my visual experiences”.  Jenn’s work could be described as exuberant Contemporary Landscapes! After receiving her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Western Ontario, Jenn travelled extensively ending up in South Africa where her passion for painting was rekindled! Recently since her move to Collingwood, Jenn has exhibited in Galleries in Orillia, Clarksburg, Owen Sound, and Toronto.  She is a member of the BMFA, GBACA and the Collingwood BIA and lends a hand occasionally to the Children’s Art Program bringing with her bountiful hours of Creativity! She is a full time artist with a studio in The Tremont.

Fran Bouwman

Fran has been sculpting wood for over fifteen years. She draws inspiration from contemporary figurative bronze sculpture while using the materials and tools of the traditional wood carver. Fran’s sculpture captures the exquisite balance of form and space. Her pieces are three dimensional symbolic metaphors, primarily figurative with elements of the surreal and abstract. Recently Fran has been giving workshops assisting students to look deep within, to their own inner landscape for inspiration. Bonnie Dorgelo

Bonnie’s talent knows no boundaries! She is an accomplished painter, wire sculptor and jewelry maker. Bonnie has received juried awards for her wire sculptures from the Blue Mountain Foundation of the Arts and recognition for the most original pieces of art from the Tom Thomson Gallery. Her commissioned works have found homes throughout Canada, the U.S., Ireland and Spain. John Anderson

Painting is his passion. If you ask John, he’ll say he has painted forever. Inspired by Andrew Wyeth as a young boy, later Tom Tompson and others from the Group of Seven, John continues to explore the dynamics of colour, light and design borrowing from contemporary masters with an impressionist flair. His works ranges from miniature to massive. Painting en plein air, on location and alla prima, all in one session are his main focus. Passing that joy on to others has led him to teaching summer courses for Fleming College, art schools and art organizations around the province. www.johndavidanderson.ca.

Lory MacDonald

Lory MacDonald OCAD has been teaching art since 1994 through Artventure, a school she originally founded for youth and now includes women. Her teaching philosophy and approach to art is: creativity is empowered within each individual by encouragement, freedom to explore, access to great materials, and leadership through imagination.
Lory has been exhibiting and selling her work for over 30 years across North America and Internationally. She has a wealth of knowledge and experience with anything ‘arty’ and loves
teaching and sharing her ideas. She is a graduate of OCAD and the Georgian Triangle Economic
Development Entrepreneurship Program.
